Legends Awaken, the second set for the Palworld Official Card Game, arrives on October 30 with new Legendary Pals and strategies for multiple deck types. The game is nearing 11 million sales in November after launching with a single set, according to the original report.
The new Legendary Pals come with a restriction: players can include only one copy of each named Legendary in their Base. They also have high summoning costs, balanced by strong abilities and Power values. Jetragon - Legendary Guardian Dragon, for example, has 1700 Power and 3 Strike. Its ability exiles two Pals costing 7 or more from the Graveyard to gain Vigilance; if both are Legendary, Jetragon can also Stand up to three Legendaries.
Jetragon can pair with Frostallion - Everlasting Rime, which reduces the cost of Pals by two and lets its player draw cards at the end of their turn until they have four in hand. The cards are positioned as support for Blue and Dragon decks, which the source describes as dominant in the current meta.
Purple decks get another Legendary option in Frostallion Noct - Eternal Darkness. It has 1500 Power and 3 Strike, increases the Power of its controller’s other Pals by 500, and makes the opponent discard down to four cards at the end of the turn. The set also adds Selyne - Saya’s Moonlit Beacon, a Tower Boss card aimed at Graveyard strategies. Its Soul cost falls from eight to three if its owner has at least 10 Nocturnal Pals in the Graveyard.
Other cards support Selyne’s strategy. Saya’s Crescent Moon reduces a Pal’s Power by 1000 or sends it to the Graveyard if it is Night, while Zoe’s Gambit sends all Pals to the Graveyard. Tower Bosses bring a boss character and their signature Pal together on one card.
Red decks gain Orserk - Thunderclap Roar, a 1400-Power Pal with 3 Strike. By spending two materials, players can choose to increase a Pal’s Power and Strike for the turn, deal 900 direct damage to a Pal, or Stand a Pal with a Soul cost of 3 or less. Flambelle - Feverish Tears can be rested to generate two materials, helping set up plays with cards such as Orserk.
Competitive players will need at least 10 Legends Awaken cards in their deck for November’s Release Tournament. Shop tournaments are scheduled to run through January, with prize promo packs featuring 17 unique cards. The full card list and booster pre-orders are available through the Palworld Official Card Game website, according to the source.
